Confirm the address behind the area name
South Waco is a broad geographic reference on this site, not an official pickup zone. The City’s neighborhood directory uses more specific names, including Baylor. A building name, unit, and service account are more useful than assuming every property in a broad area has the same collection arrangement.
Know what changed at the transfer station
The new City transfer station at 6171 S University Parks Drive opened on March 2, 2026, alongside the new landfill in Axtell. The City announcement describes convenience centers and a benefit for eligible residential customers of up to one ton, four times per year, at no charge. Confirm current eligibility and material acceptance before relying on it.
That residential benefit is not a blanket disposal waiver for a private commercial cleanout. Posted transfer-station rates add $20 per ton; consult the rate guide and the City for the applicable charge. Facility hours are not stated here because they need a fresh confirmation before a trip.
Make a move-out inventory that respects ownership
